I have been specialising in weight loss for over 25 years and as weight management coach I have helped thousands of people lose weight and keep it off. The health industry and weight loss retreats follow a one diet fits all standardised approach. Every week there is a new diet Dr Atkins, Paleo, Keto, intermittent fasting, CSIRO and there are many more, they all produce resultsā¦but which one works for you and why? Why can one person try a diet and get good results but not for someone elseā¦whatās going on? Before I used Metabolic Typing I had inconsistent results with my clients and I want to share my knowledge in this area with you.
What is Metabolic Typing?
Metabolic Typing is based on the bio chemistry of your body and when you eat for your metabolic type you will have sustained energy, no cravings, feel satisfied and have good weight loss. It takes the guess work out of what and when you should eat and it does not involve calorie counting.
Metabolic typing is really just fancy talk for ļ¬guring out how your body processes what you eatāmore speciļ¬cally, how your body deals with the three basic macronutrients in food: carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Imagine that you are a furnace: your body takes the food you eat and burns it with oxygen to convert its caloric content into energy. This process is known as oxidation, the fact that we all oxidize the nutrients in our food in different ways is the reason why a particular diet will work for one person and not for another. If you know more about how the nutrients in your food act on your system, you can avoid a lot of unnecessary pitfalls and really maximize your results as you continue on your journey toward total health.
I have found that fast oxidizers do better on high protein and high fat diet and if they follow a low-fat diet, they will have poor weight loss. Ā Our guests who have stayed at other weight loss retreats and health retreats have told me they had very poor weight loss of less than one kilo after two weeks following a low fat diet but after participating in the Chi of Life program and changing their diet to a high fat nutritional plan lost over 5 kilos in the same period. Knowing your metabolic nutritional type is essential for the best results.

Thereās more to losing weight than just exercise and diet alone and there is not one strategy for everyone. Weight loss is more complex for some and we need to look at the body as a whole, whatās going on at cellular level? Have you been under stress? Through rectifying deficiencies in the body and rebalancing through hormonal, lymphatic and metabolic systems an individualised programme is essential to achieve your goals.

Real Lasting Results
It has been 5 years since attending Chi of Life and everything is going really well for me now, I am still losing weight, still going to the gym and the diet is going great! I now weigh 117kg and I feel so much fitter and happier than I have in a long time, I have lost 3 dress sizes and nearly another dress size all my clothes I used to wear are now far too big for me so vie had to buy some new clothes now! but I am not buying too many just yet as I know Iāll lose more! I have had some stuff ups with food but then I just go back to how I normally eat and Iām still having the green smoothies it makes a huge difference without them I would never feel the same they give me so much energy for the day.

Itās been 8 years since I did the weight loss retreat and I wanted to say thank you for helping me through the three weeks it was a memorable time for me.
